Not really. I'm in a fight with my mom, so I'm not looking forward to spending a week with her.

I know. We've jsut been fighting a lot lately and I'm getting sick of it.

I don't even remember. I'm sure it was something stupid.
I think you'll both get over it. Once you're in Disney you'll forget you were even fighting.

You'll definitely have fun, it's a great place to go with your family. You have to go on Rockin Roller Coaster. It's the best ride.

You could make a great story out of this, about a teenage girl fighting with her mother and how a vacation could either help or exasperate the situation.
ReplyDeleteI like how the dialogue seems really realistic because everyone can relate to having to spend time with people they arent getting along with.
ReplyDeleteGood dialogue, but rough. They could be sock puppets for all I know. Add some context, perhaps an introduction, a conclusion, and some gestural pauses and interjections about where they are and what they were doing might add to the scene. Imagine that any idea or physical prop you include into the story is supporting your story. Is he adjusting his disney hat, or looking sadly at a picture of his father?
ReplyDeleteThis conversation is like a typical teenage daughter fighting with her mother. Good start, but as Russell said its rough. I know this is just notes but if you were to turn it into something else you would need to add some spark to it to catch the readers attention.
ReplyDeleteI thought this conversation was interesting because it very realistic. I think it would make a good story because I'm sure most people get into fights with their parents over stupid reasons, and they could relate to this.
